Virtual Detector System Validation

Overview

In this final session, we bring together everything from the previous modules to build a complete virtual validation workflow in Ansys SPEOS. Modern defence, aerospace, and surveillance cameras depend on accurate detector behavior—pixel response, noise, spectral sensitivity, and dynamic range—which ultimately determine what the system can detect or miss.

This webinar shows how to model these detector characteristics in SPEOS and integrate them with optical and environmental models to evaluate real imaging performance. You’ll also learn how SPEOS outputs radiometric data for Detection, Recognition, and Identification (DRI) analysis, enabling realistic performance prediction under different conditions.
